During April 2027, as a team of four you will take on the challenge of running the equivalent Distance and Ascent of climbing the highest peak of Mount Olympus in Greece. With one of the highest topographic prominences in the entirety of Europe, it is easy to see why this was once considered to be the home of the Gods!
Between the four members of your team, you must run a total of 30km in distance (The distance from Plaka Litochoro - The Gateway to Olympus to the Mytikas - The Highest Peak)
Between the four members of your team, you must also achieve a total of 2918m of ascent (The height of the Mytikas - The Highest Peak - above Sea Level)
Your team can run in any order but each member can only submit one run (conditions under event rules below). At the end of the month, the team that has achieved the shortest cumulative time (i.e. has run the quickest) will be crowned the winners! Will this years victors be you?
When booking onto the event, you can choose one of two options:
Entry Only (per team) - £30.00
Entry & Medals (per team) - £50.00
Those teams that have selected medals - these will be sent out once the event has finished at the end of the competition month.
All event entries must be finalized two weeks prior to the 1st day of the competition (by close of play on the 18th of March 2027). Any entries received after this date will default to the next running of the competition one year later. This booking is non-refundable but if you message us we would be happy to transfer you to an alternative event of your choosing.
Your race effort must take place during April 2027
You must submit the run data for your leg using the submission form on our website before the end of the event month
Run data can be submitted via a link to the activity on the app of your choice (i.e. Garmin, Strava, Nike Running etc.) but your profile must be fully visible so that we can analyze and input your race data.
Each runner on your team can only submit one run, so be strategic and plan together who is going to do what in advance.
Each run submitted must have a minimum of 5k distance and a minimum ascent of 500m.
